I read his book and now I can see how they "work hard', "play hard" and "care more". Peter pulls together many ideas from other writers about leadership and adds his experience. He provides examples, questions you can ask yourself and your team, and provides step-by-step paths to achieving the kind of cohesive team/company we all should desire to have because it will lead to success. I'd recommend reading Care Leadership if you are a manager looking for approaches to create an enjoyable, non-threatening work environment, and to engage employees at a higher level to improve the overall efficiency of the business. Also, it lays out a framework through which you can respond to and engage your customers for complete satisfaction and increased revenues. The 8 CARE Principles outlined should be employed in every business that is serious about taking their business to the highest level.
As a business owner of a growing brand, I found this book invaluable. It's a must-read for business leaders who are interested in creating a company culture centered on satisfied employees and customers. It's a relatively enjoyable read since Peter uses anecdotes and stories from his experiences as the leader of The Grounds Guys.
